More About Kori!

I’m Kori Abarzua, LCSW, PMH-C, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional through Postpartum Support International (PSI). I’m also a mom of two, and supporting women through the transition into motherhood is at the heart of my work.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Haven and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Sacred Heart University. I am licensed in the State of Connecticut and Florida. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and EMDR, and my approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Parts Work.

My passion for perinatal mental health is both professional and personal. As a mom who has experienced the NICU journey, I understand that motherhood can bring incredible love alongside fear, overwhelm, and emotions that can be difficult to make sense of. I’ve also seen how deeply postpartum anxiety and depression can affect a mother’s experience, and I’m passionate about creating a space where moms feel supported, understood, and never judged.

Therapy with me is warm, honest, and collaborative. Together, we’ll work through what you’ve been carrying, better understand the different parts of yourself, and reconnect with who you are in this new chapter.

Outside of therapy, I’m usually with my two little ones. I love reading, dancing around the kitchen, good coffee, and finding joy in the little moments.
